Monarque® - The Integrated
Treasury and Capital Markets Solution
Monarque is an application suite supporting trading and
treasury management at major banks and broking houses, comprising
multiple integrated modules designed to automate all front,
middle, and back office functions.
Openness
Monarque is built around a relational database that can
easily provide external systems with any subset of data
that may be required. All lists and tables can be exported
directly by users at the touch of a button into a variety
of file formats. Monarque can also import static data (client
information, limits, payment instructions) as well as trade
and position data.
Security
A paramount issue for any trading and processing system
is security. Our typical hardware configuration includes
mirrored servers and automatic back-up and recovery by the
end-of-day process. The system administrator is armed with
extensive permissioning capability, including nine customisable
user access levels, the flexibility of setting minimum password
length, password renewal frequency and inactivity time-out
periods. Additionally, both input and viewing authorisations
may be restricted by trading book, trader, branch, currency
or instrument.
Audit Trail
A powerful Monarque feature praised by auditors is our built-in,
fully automated audit trail. Every system transaction is
automatically action-, date-, time- and user-stamped. This
not only allows a tracking of system access, and static
data updates, but also provides full details about every
stage in the life of a deal (i.e. before and after modification
or deletion, etc.). All journals are maintained on-line
and can be displayed on-screen or sent to the print server.
Low Maintenance
Monarque is easily maintained and does not require a full-time
administrator. We typically provide training to designated
bank Operations Department staff so that they can provide
day-to-day in-house user support. The end-of-day process
is a short, simple task which is typically performed by
the bank's EDP department, but can also be executed by a
user department.
