PTX is comprised
of the infrastructure technology components of IT&e MarketMaker,
IT&e TransForm, IT&e TradeSpace and IT&e Evolution.
In addition to the NextSet Private Trading Exchange for Finance,
IT&e sells its infrastructure technology components separately
for use in a customer's own e-commerce initiatives. Contact

IT&e
MarketMaker™
IT&e MaketMaker is a web enabled negotiation engine. It
allows trading in various formats including: RFP/RFQ, negotiation,
and auctions.
In PTX, the IT&e MarketMaker supports RFQ / RFP processes
and automates negotiation for discussion of trade pricing
and other details. The IT&e MarketMaker can be rapidly
configured by the user for trading of different products,
often very complex in nature, such as derivatives or fixed
income products. The system also supports differentiated channel
pricing.

IT&e Transform™
IT&e TransForm validates trade information and processes
it into the formats required in the clearing and settlement
process.
IT&e TransForm is comprised of the following elements:
Multi-Input Handler
The multi-input handler enables clearing brokers to accept files
in virtually any format, including FIX, XML, or proprietary
file formats.
Validation Engine
The clearing validation engine is pre-loaded with rules that
fit the financial clearing industry. Rules can also be added
and modified by a business line manager on a per client basis
through a user-friendly graphical interface.
Clearing Formatter
The clearing formatter transforms data into and out of customary
back office formats. It also stores data for auditing and dynamically
enabled logging.
Clearing Transmitter
The clearing transmitter enables real-time and reliable transmission
of messages by transparently leveraging third party messaging
servers (e.g. IBM MQSeries). The transmitter manages acknowledgments
from service bureaus in real-time or in batch mode.

IT&e Tradespace™
IT&e’s TradeSpace architecture is a robust exchange
platform for automating sophisticated, high volume and real-time
trading activities over the internet.
TradeSpace incorporates high performance matching engines
for high-speed and multi-parameter combinatorial matches.
TradeSpace also supports multiple-market formats such as RFP
/ RFQ, forward and reverse auctions and full real-time bid-ask
exchanges. These formats are supported on the same infrastructure
and can be changed automatically, perhaps in response to changing
liquidity or to a change in the supply:demand ratio.

IT&e Evolution™
IT&e Evolution is a patent-pending, high performance e-business
platform powered by an Enterprise JavaBeans ("EJB")
runtime server. Evolution automates real-time trading activities
and information sharing over the Internet, in a reliable,
distributed and secure environment.
Evolution is 100% Java-based and can run on Linux, Solaris
and Windows NT/2000 based systems. It implements an EJB application
server based on the Java 2 Enterprise Edition ("J2EE")
specification. Through Java Database Connector it can host
applications and provide access to all popular Relational
Database Management Systems including Oracle, IBM DB2, Sybase
and Microsoft SQL Server. Through J2EE's Java Crypto Environment
framework, it implements a "plugable" architecture
in which popular cryptography and certificate server components
can be integrated (for example RSA and Verisign). Our ProxyBeans
extension to the J2EE standard allows systems to access business
logic and data from remote servers - over the Internet or
intranets. Our asynchronous messaging engine provides a high
quality of service and reliability over an inherently unreliable
transport medium - the Internet - without sacrificing the
benefits of operating on the high-level, open standards EJB
platform.
