Razor has been designed to take advantage of the latest innovations in software technology.

Platform
Razor calculation and exposure management servers run on Windows, Linux and Solaris. The Razor client software runs on Windows. In addition web clients are also supported.

Database
Razor is currently implemented on Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and Oracle databases.

Components
All Razor components are compiled in C++. Internal pricing models may be implemented within Razor’s environment with no additional overhead. Institutions may add new products by simply defining the product schema and implementing the appropriate pricing component.

Interfaces
Razor supports XML (FpML for trade data) or binary format for easy integration with trading, counterparty, limits, and other bank systems.

Data Types
Reference data is stored as extendible data types, allowing institutions to easily modify and extend data as required for portfolio aggregation and enable the Razor database to serve as a credit data warehouse, incorporating all of an instutions data requirements for counterparties and issuers.
